I am pleased to present, after long research and translation, some information on one of the biggest existing fresh water river salmon (Hucho Hucho)
I have the great fortune to live in a country, where this splendid fish is still present in large numbers, in Austria.
The Danube salmon, one of the more threatened species at it’s origin, the Danube Basin, reproduces here naturally and is helped by the Austrian Government, with minimum measurements of 75 cm, and in certain reserves the minimum is up to 100cm or the obligation of returning the fish to it’s natural habitat, that is, the water.
